Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการแปลคำสรรพนามในพระกิตติคุณลูกาซึ่งเป็นหนังสือเล่มหนึ่งในพระคัมภีร์ไบเบิ้ล โดยศึกษาเปรียบเทียบการแปลของพระคัมภีร์ฉบับภาษาไทยสองฉบับ ได้แก่ พระคัมภีร์ฉบับปี 1971 ชองสมาคมพระคริสตธรรมไทย และ พระคัมภีร์ฉบับอ่านง่าย ของศูนย์กลางการแปลโลก การศึกษานี้มุ่งให้ได้คำตอบว่า รูปแบบการแปลคำสรรพนามที่แตกต่างกันของบทแปลสองฉบับนี้เป็นผลมาจากเจตนา และนโยบายในการแปลของคณะผู้แปลที่แตกต่างกันหรือไม่ โดยในการศึกษา ผู้วิจัยได้ทำการวิเคราะห์การใช้สรรพนามจากตัวบททั้งสองเปรียบเทียบกันถึงความแตกต่างของสรรพนามที่ใช้และปัจจัยต่าง ๆ ที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการเลือกใช้สรรพนามนั้น โดยผู้วิจัยได้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ตารางวิเคราะห์รวมทั้งสิ้น 7 ตารางแบ่งการใช้สรรพนามตามปัจจัยทางไวยกรณ์ คือ พจน์และบุรุษ ผลการวิจัยพบว่าการใช้สรรพนามของพระคัมภีร์ทั้งสองฉบับมีความแตกต่างกันมากกว่าเหมือนกัน ปัจจัยภายในที่สำคัญคือ ปัจจัยทางสังคมเรื่องสถานะและความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคู่สนทนาและพบว่าเจตนาหรือวัตถุประสงค์ของคณะผู้แปลมีผลต่อรูปแบบการแปลสรรพนามในพระคัมภีร์ทั้งสองฉบับ พระคัมภีร์ฉบับปี ค.ศ.1971 เน้นภาษาเขียนที่เป็นทางการเพื่อรักษาความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของตัวบท ต่างกับพระคัมภีร์ฉบับอ่านง่ายที่เน้นการใช้ภาษาที่ไม่เป็นทางการเหมือนภาษาพูดที่ใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน ซึ่งนโยบายที่ต่างกันนี้มีผลต่อการเลือกรูปแบบการแปลสรรพนามที่ต่างกัน

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The purpose of this research was to study the pronominal systems in two different versions of the Thai New Testament, it aimed at analyzing and comparing the pronoun usage in the ‘1971’ version produced by the Thailand Bible Society and the ‘Easy to Read ' version produced by the World Bible Translation Center. The method of analysis was to divide all pronouns used in both versions into tables. The study found that the pronoun usage in both translations differed as a result of contrasting translation principles. The internal factors which resulted in this difference were status and relationship between the speakers and hearers. The results of this study have shown that since the principles of the translation project and the target groups differed | pronoun usage in both versions of the New, Testament differed as well.
