Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพี่อศึกษาการใช้ภาษาในข่าวเศรษฐกิจในหนังสือพิมพ์ไทยระหว่างปี พ. ศ.๒๕๓๗ - ๒๕๔๑ และความสัมพันธ์ของการใช้ภาษากับเหตุการณ์ทางเศรษฐกิจ ผู้วิจัยเก็บข้อมูลจากหนังสือพิมพ์รายวันและราย ๓ วัน หนังสือพิมพ์รายวัน ได้แก่ กรุงเทพธุรกิจ ผู้จัดการรายวัน และวัฏจักรรายวัน หนังสือพิมพ์ราย ๓ วัน ได้แก่ ฐานเศรษฐกิจ และประชาชาติธุรกิจ รวมจำนวนหนังสือพิมพ์ที่เก็บข้อมูลทั้งหมด ๙๖๐ ฉบับ วิทยานิพนธ์แบ่งออกเป็น ๖ บท บทที่ ๑ กล่าวถึงความเป็นมาของปัญหา วัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัยสมมติฐานของการวิจัย ขอบเขตของการวิจัย และงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง บทที่ ๒ กล่าวถึงการเสนอข่าวเศรษฐกิจในหนังสือพิมพ์ บทที่ ๓ กล่าวถึงลักษณะของคำที่ใช้ในการเสนอข่าวเศรษฐกิจ บทที่ ๔ กล่าวถึงลักษณะของวลีและประโยคที่ใช้ในการเสนอข่าวเศรษฐกิจ บทที่ ๕ กล่าวถึงความสัมพันธ์ของการใช้ภาษากับเหตุการณ์ทางเศรษฐกิจ และบทที่ ๖ สรุปผลการวิจัยและข้อเสนอแนะ ผลการศึกษาสรุปได้ว่าลักษณะคำในข่าวเศรษฐกิจมีลักษณะเด่น ได้แก่ ใช้คำภาษาต่างประเทศ ใช้คำที่มีความหมายไม่สอดคล้องกัน ใช้คำแสดงภาพพจน์แบบอุปลักษณ์เปรียบการทำการค้ากับการทำสงครามลักษณะอื่นๆ ของคำที่ผู้เขียนข่าวใช้ไม่แตกต่างจากภาษาทั่วไปแต่เพิ่มลักษณะพิเศษ ได้แก่ ใช้คำย่อ – อักษรย่อ ใช้คำสแลง ใช้คำที่มีเสียงสัมผัสคล้องจอง ใช้คำสมญานาม ลักษณะของวลีแตกต่างจากภาษามาตรฐาน ๓ ลักษณะได้แก่ ใช้นามวลีบอกจำนวนที่เปลี่ยนรูปแบบ ใช้กริยาวลีแทนกริยาโดยไม่จำเป็น ใช้วลีที่เป็นสำนวนแปลภาษาต่างประเทศ ประโยคมีลักษณะพิเศษ ๖ ลักษณะ ได้แก่ ใช้ประโยคกรรม ใช้ประโยคที่ขึ้นต้นด้วยคำว่า ‘'ซึ่ง" ใช้ประโยคที่ขึ้นต้นด้วยบุพบทวลี ใช้ประโยคที่ละหน่วยประโยค ใช้ประโยคที่ใช้คำบุพบทโดยไม่จำเป็นใช้ประโยคความซ้อน การใช้ภาษาสัมพันธ์กับเหตุการณ์ เมื่อสภาพเศรษฐกิจเปลี่ยนแปลงก็จะมีคำศัพท์ที่แสดงสภาพเศรษฐกิจตลอดจนคำศัพท์ที่แสดงมาตรการแก้ไขปัญหาเศรษฐกิจเกิดขึ้น

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The purpose of this thesis is to study the use of language in business news in the Thai newspapers during 1994 - 1998 A.D., and to study the relationship between economic terms and economic events. Data is collected from 3 daily newspapers namely Khrung-thep Thurakit, Phuchatkarn Raajwan and Wattachak Raajwan 1 together with 2 three- day newspapers, namely Thansetthakit and Prachachat Thurakit, totaling 960 copies. This thesis is divided into six chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the problems and describes the objectives, the hypothesis, and. the scope of the research, together with the related research works. Chapter 2 deals with the reporting of business news in the newspapers. Chapter 3 describes the characteristics of words used in presenting economic news. Chapter 4 describes the characteristics of sentences and of phrases in economic news. Chapter 5 presents the relationship between the usage of economic terms and the corresponding economic events. Chapter 6 concludes and provides suggestions. The result of this study shows the outstanding characteristics of words used in economic news, namely the uses of foreign words, the uses of words with unrelated meanings, the uses of figure of speech comparing business to war, the uses of abbreviation, slang, rhyming and alliteration, and nicknaming.
