Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์หลัก 2 ประการ คือ ประการแรกเพื่อศึกษาวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบและบริบทต่างๆ ที่ปรากฏอยู่ใน ดอน กีโฆเต้ เด ลา มันช่า ประการที่สองเพื่อวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบ ดอน กีโฆเต้ เด ลา มันช่า กับ แมน ออฟ ลา มันช่า และเรื่อง สู่ฝันอันยิ่งใหญ่ ในฐานะที่บทละครเพลงทั้งสองเรื่องได้รับอิทธิพลมาจาก ดอน กีโฆเต้ เด ลา มันช่า จากการวิจัยพบว่า วรรณกรรมเรื่อง ดอน กีโฆเต้ เด ลา มันช่า ได้รับอิทธิพลจากบริบททางสังคมและบริบททางวรรณกรรม ซึ่งสะท้อนออกมาในส่วนต่างๆ ของเรื่อง และจากการวิเคราะห์ตัวบทเรื่อง ดอน กีโฆเต้ เด ลา มันช่า พบว่า วรรณกรรมเรื่องนี้แต่งขึ้นมาเพื่อเสียดสีนิยายอัศวินยุคกลาง ดังนั้นผู้แต่งจึงสร้างโครงเรื่อง ตัวละครเอก และนำเสนอแนวคิดที่เสียดสีนิยายดังกล่าว แต่ขณะเดียวกันการกระทำและอุดมการณ์ของตัวละครเอกได้สะท้อนให้เห็นภาพของมนุษย์ที่พยายามรักษาอุดมการณ์ของตนเองไว้ท่ามกลางความข้ดแย้งที่เกิดขึ้น ลักษณะดังกล่าวได้กลายเป็นแนวคิดสำคัญที่มีอิทธิพลต่อวรรณกรรมในสมัยต่อๆ มา สำหรับเรื่อง แมน ออฟ ลา มันช่า และ สู่ฝันอันยิ่งใหญ่ นั้น แม้จะได้รับอิทธิพลทั้งในด้านโครงเรื่อง ตัวละคร และแนวคิด มาจาก ดอน กีโฆเต้ เด ลา มันช่า แต่จากบริบททางสังคม จุดมุ่งหมายของผู้แต่งและการตีความที่แตกต่างกันทำให้บทละครเพลงทั้งสองเรื่องมีความแตกต่างจาก ดอน กีโฆเต้ เด ลา มันช่า

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

This thesis has two objectives: to study and analyze elements and contexts of Don Quijote de la Mancha, and to compare and contrast it with Man of la Mancha and Suu Fan An Ying Yai as the last two musical plays were influenced by Cervantes's text. The research shows that Don Quijote de la Mancha reflects the influence of its social and literary contexts in various parts. Moreover, as the text's aim was to satirize the chivalric novel, its plot, main character and theme were created especially for that purpose. At the same time, the actions and goals of the main character give us a picture of a man who tries to keep his goals among arising conflicts. This theme has influenced many later works. It is also found that although Man of la Mancha and Suu Fan An Ying Yai were influenced by Don Quijote de la Mancha interms of plot, characters and theme, each of these later works differs from the original text in its social context and author's aim and interpretation
