Abstract

ศึกษากลวิธีการใช้ภาษาสร้างจินตภาพในวรรณกรรมของสุวรรณี สุคนธา เพื่อแสดงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างแนวคิดกับจินตภาพ ผลการศึกษาได้แสดงให้เห็นว่า กลวิธีการใช้ภาษาสร้างจินตภาพของสุวรรณี สุคนธา เริ่มจากการใช้คำ คำที่สุวรรณีนำมาใช้ คือคำที่ให้รายละเอียดแห่งสี แสง เสียง กลิ่น รส ความเคลื่อนไหว และอารมณ์ความรู้สึกได้อย่างชัดเจนงดงาม โดยเฉพาะคำบอกสี คำบอกแสง และคำบอกความเคลื่อนไหวนั้น สุวรรณีสามารถนำมาใช้ได้อย่างปราณีตงดงามเป็นพิเศษ งานวรรณกรรมของสุวรรณีจึงมีลักษณะคล้ายภาพเขียน นอกจากนี้สุวรรณียังสร้างจินตภาพโดยใช้อลังการ คือการนำความเปรียบและสัญญลักษณ์มาสร้างจินตภาพ โดยมุ่งเน้นที่การนำธรรมชาติมาใช้ ทำให้เกิดจินตภาพที่ชัดเจน ดูมีชีวิตชีวาแฝงไว้ซึ่งความหมายที่ลึกซึ้ง เพื่อมุ่งสู่แนวคิดของเรื่องอย่างประสานกลมกลืน ดังนั้นการสร้างจนตภาพจึงเป็นกลวิธีสำคัญ ที่สุวรรณีใช้สื่อแนวคิดของเรื่อง วรรณกรรมของสุวรรณีมักเสนอให้เห็นถึงธรรมชาติของความเป็นมนุษย์ คือความดีความชั่วในจิตใจมนุษย์ กิเลสตัณหา ความรัก ความเหงา ความเกลียดชังของมนุษย์ และชี้ให้เห็นว่าความจริงกับความฝันเชิงอุดมคตินั้นแตกต่างกัน โดยนำธรรมชาติมาสื่อให้เห็นถึงแนวคิดเหล่านี้เช่น นำสีขาว สีทอง ความสว่าง ดอกไม้มาสื่อภาพความดีงาม นำสีแดง สีแสด ความมืด และแดดมาสื่อภาพความชั่วร้าย สุวรรณีเลือกนำจินตภาพเหล่านี้สื่อผ่านองค์ประกอบ 4 ประการคือ ชื่อเรื่อง ชื่อตัวละครสำคัญ การบรรยายลักษณะตัวละครและฉาก จินตภาพเหล่านี้ ได้เชื่อมโยงความคิดสำคัญที่ปรากฏในงานของสุวรรณี อันเป็นการสร้างเอกภาพระหว่างแนวคิดกับจินตภาพได้อย่างชัดเจน

Studying the language of imagery in Suwanni Sukhontha's literay works in order to illustrate the relation between theme and imagery. The study reveals that Suwanni's language of imagery starts from the use of words which give details of colours, light, sound, smell, taste, movement and feeling. Suwanni has a great talent in exploiting words of colour, light and movement. Consequently, her works gain the visual beauty like paintings. Besides, Suwanni employs metaphor and symbol from nature in the creation of her vivid and exquisite imagery. The imagery usually conveys the meanings leading to the understanding of the theme. Thus the use of imagery is a prominent device in conveying the theme of her works. Suwanni often portrays through her works the nature of human beings-their vices and virtures, desires, love, loneliness and hatred. Through the imagery from nature, she reveals great difference between reality and ideals. The imagery of white, gold, light and flower are used to convey virture whereas red, orange, darkness and sunlight are used to convey vices. Suwanni creates the language of imagery through four elements in her works-the titles, the names of main characters, the description of the characters and the setting. All the imageries are well connected and harmonized into a complete unity. Thus Suwanni achieves a literary beauty in conveying the theme through her exquisite use of imagery.
