Abstract

โรงแรมและสถานตากอากาศเป็นอาคารสาธารณะที่มีประโยชน์ใช้สอยใหม่ ที่เกียวข้องกับนักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาติและคนทั่วไปเป็นส่วนใหญ่ เพื่อผลประโยชน์ในทางธุรกิจ แต่รูปแบบสถาปัตยกรรมไม่อาจพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่องจากอดีต เนื่องจากในอดีตไม่เคยปรากฎอาคารประเภทนี้ ที่สามารถเป็นรากฐานรูปแบบสถาปัตยกรรมได้ อาคารดังกล่าวยังขาดเอกลักษณ์ที่ชัดเจน และยังมีข้อจำกัดในการพัฒนาลักษณะไทยสมัยใหม่ ในช่วงระยะเวลาที่ผ่านมา ได้มีการตื่นตัวและมีความพยายามในการออกแบบอาคาร ให้มีลักษณะไทยสมัยใหม่ ดังเห็นได้จากอาคารที่ได้รับรางวัลต่างๆ เช่น รางวัลงานสถาปัตยกรรมดีเด่นจากสมาคมสถาปนิกสยามฯ เป็นต้น การวิจัยนี้ได้ศึกษางานวิจัยและทฤษฎีที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการศึกษาลักษณะไทยสมัยใหม่ และศึกษาอาคารตัวอย่างที่ได้รับรางวัลต่างๆ โดยสำรวจลักษณะกายภาพ พร้อมกันนี้ได้ศึกษาความคิดเห็นจากสถาปนิกผู้ออกแบบ ผู้ใช้สอยอาคาร และสถาปนิกแกนนำที่เป็นคณะกรรมการตัดสินให้รางวัลอาคาร รวมถึงสถาปนิกแกนนำที่เคยมีผลงานด้านการออกแบบอาคาร หรือผลงานด้านวิชาการที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อนำไปสร้างแบบสอบถามเกี่ยวกับการยอมรับลักษณะไทยสมัยใหม่ และแนวทางการพัฒนาลักษณะไทยสมัยใหม่สำหรับอาคารโรงแรม และสถานตากอากาศ เพื่อใช้สอบถามกลุ่มสถาปนิกทั่วไปและกลุ่มบุคคลทั่วไป กลุ่มละ 100 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า กลุ่มสถาปนิกทั่วไปและกลุ่มบุคคลทั่วไปมีความคิดเห็นว่า ลักษณะไทยสมัยใหม่มีการอ้างอิงมาจากลักษณะไทยในอดีต และมีการพัฒนาให้มีความสอดคล้องกับวัสดุ และเทคโนโลยีการก่อสร้างในปัจจุบัน ลักษณะไทยสมัยใหม่ที่เด่นชัดในลักษณะไทยเชิงรูปธรรม ได้แก่ การจัดกลุ่มอาคาร ลักษณะของหลังคา วัสดุและสีหลังคา เสาลอย ที่ว่างเชื่อมภายนอก ผนัง สัดส่วนและการจัดช่องเปิด ลูกกรงระเบียง ลายพื้น วัสดุพื้น ลายหน้าจั่ว ค้ำยัน และการจัดภูมิทัศน์ ลักษณะไทยเชิงนามธรรม ได้แก่ ความเบาลอยตัว ความโปร่งโล่ง ความร่มรื่น ส่วนแนวทางการพัฒนาลักษณะไทยสมัยใหม่ มีความสอดคล้องกับปัจจัยแวดล้อมต่างๆ ในปัจจุบัน ได้แก่ สภาพแวดล้อมและสภาพภูมิอากาศ วัสดุและเทคโนโลยีการก่อสร้าง และการประหยัดพลังงาน ในขณะเดียวกันก็พบว่า ทั้งสองกลุ่มยังมีความคิดเห็นแตกต่างกันในบางองค์ประกอบ ที่มีลักษณะไทยสมัยใหม่ ย่อมแสดงให้เห็นว่า ทั้งสองกลุ่มมีประสบการณ์ในการรับรู้ลักษณะไทยที่แตกต่างกัน ดังนั้น สถาปนิกควรตระหนักถึงการรับรู้ลักษณะไทยของกลุ่มบุคคลทั่วไป โดยพิจารณานำความคิดเห็นของกลุ่มบุคคลทั่วไปไปประกอบการพิจารณาในการออกแบบอาคารต่อไป

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

Hotels and resort complexes are public buildings with modern functions for tourists and general people. Mostly, these buildings are created for commercial purpose. In fact, the basis and the development of Thai character are still undefined. And the development for modern Thai character still faces significant barriers and limitations. Nowadays, people are concerned about the importance and development of modern Thai character. The awarded designs such as those receiving the "ASA Gold Medal Award" display such Thai characteristics. Theoretically, the research comprised with the result of related researches and theories, the survey of accomplished building environment, the opinion of the architects and building dwellers, the leading architects who are member of the award committe of the ASA, and experienced architects of modern Thai character buildings in order to elaborate a questionnaire for dissecting the awareness of Thai character for hotels and resort complexes and the development of modern Thai character. The questionnaire will be delivered to 100 subjects for each group of general architects and general people. According to the findings of research, most of the subjects believe that modern Thai character in architecture came from the adaptation of traditional Thai architecture and the modern technology. The preeminent tangible modern Thai character such as building grouping, the roof profile, material and colour of roof, free standing columns, outer space, wall, proportion and the arrangement of void, baluster, floor pattern, flooring, gable end pattern, bracket, and landscape. The abstract modern Thai character reveals such factors as lightness, transparency, and shadiness. Therefore, for the future development of modern Thai character, architects should be concerned with the accommodation of environment, atmosphere, materials, technology, and energy conservation. At the same time, both architects and general people have expressed different points of views on the questionnaires which are due to the differentiation on perceptions and personal experiences. Accordingly, the perception of general people is necessary for architects' creation.
