Abstract

ศึกษากระบวนการตัดสินใจเลือกระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ ของผู้บริหารห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษา ในด้านองค์กรกับปัจจัยประกอบการตัดสินใจ เกณฑ์พิจารณาในการเลือกระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ ขั้นตอนการตัดสินใจ และการประเมินการตัดสินใจ สมมติฐานการวิจัย คือ กระบวนการตัดสินใจเลือกระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ ของผู้บริหารห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษาไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน การเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลในการวิจัย ทำโดยการสัมภาษณ์ผู้บริหารห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษาของรัฐ ที่ดำรงตำแหน่งหรือเคยดำรงตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยการหอสมุดกลาง ของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาซึ่งเป็นผู้ตัดสินใจเลือกระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ มาใช้ในการดำเนินงานของห้องสมุด จำนวน 22 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สาเหตุของการนำเทคโนโลยีสารนิเทศมาใช้ในห้องสมุด โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการจัดหาระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ คือ เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการให้บริการสารนิเทศแก่ผู้ใช้ ปัจจัยขององค์กรที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจของผู้บริหารห้องสมุด ได้แก่ งบประมาณ แผนงานของห้องสมุด และการสนับสนุนจากหน่วยงานภายนอก เกณฑ์พิจารณาในการเลือกระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ ที่ผู้บริหารห้องสมุดให้ความสำคัญในระดับมากที่สุด คือ คุณสมบัติของซอฟต์แวร์ สำหรับกิจกรรมที่ผู้บริหารห้องสมุดส่วนมากทำเป็นกิจกรรมที่ 1 คือ การวางแผน กำหนดความต้องการและขอบเขตของโครงการ ผู้บริหารห้องสมุดมีความเห็นว่า ผลการดำเนินงานบริการเป็นผลที่ได้รับในระดับมากที่สุด จากการตัดสินใจเลือกระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ กระบวนการตัดสินใจเลือกระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ ของผู้บริหารห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย พบว่าอยู่ในระดับมากในทุกด้าน เมื่อทดสอบค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ความแปรผัน พบว่า การกระจายของข้อมูลน้อย และเมื่อทดสอบค่าไคสแควร์ พบว่า ไม่มีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ .05 สอดคล้องกับสมมติฐานการวิจัยที่ตั้งไว้ คือ กระบวนการตัดสินใจเลือกระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติของผู้บริหารห้องสมุดอุดมศึกษาไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

To study the decision-making process in choosing an automated library system by the academic library directors regarding its organizational and decision-making factors; the criteria in choosing an automated library system; decision-making procedures; and decision-making evaluation. The main hypothesis of this research is that there is no significant difference in the decision-making process in choosing an automated library system among academic library directors. Data gathering were conducted through interview of 22 academic library directors. All were decision-makers in choosing an automated library system of their own libraries. The research reveals that the principal reason for introducing an automated library system is to increase efficiency of information services. The main organizational factors that influence the directors' decision are budget, library work plan, and external support. The most important criteria in choosing an automated library system is the software qualification. And the first activity done by most library directors is project planning. The library directors thought that improved service productivity is the most beneficial outcome derived from an automated library system. It was found that all aspects of the decision-making process in choosing an automated library system academic library directors are considered to be highly important. Hypothesis testing under the coefficient of variation analysis shows only minimal variation. In addition, the Chi-square test indicates that there were no significant differences at level .05 among academic library directors' decision-making process in choosing an automated library system.
