Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาว่าลีลาการเขียนข่าว ซึ่งประกอบด้วยการใช้ภาษาและการลำดับเรื่อง มีผลต่อการรับรู้ของผู้อ่านอันได้แก่ ความเข้าใจ ความจำ ความน่าสนใจ ความน่าเชื่อถือ และ การรับรู้ความสำคัญของข่าวอย่างไร รวมทั้งศึกษาว่าตัวแปรด้านระดับการศึกษาของผู้อ่านมีผลต่อการรับรู้ลีลาการเขียนข่าวหรือไม่ ในการทดลองได้ศึกษากับกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 320 คน ผู้วิจัยได้แบ่งการทดลองออกเป็น 2 ส่วน ส่วนแรกคือ การทดลองด้านภาษาในการเขียนข่าว โดยจะแบ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็น 2 กลุ่ม ให้กลุ่มหนึ่ง อ่านข่าวที่เขียนด้วยภาษาข่าวและอีกกลุ่มหนึ่งอ่านข่าวที่เขียนด้วยภาษาไทยมาตรฐาน เช่นเดียวกับในส่วนที่ 2 คือ การทดลองการลำดับเรื่องในการเขียนข่าว โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างกลุ่มหนึ่งจะได้อ่านข่าวที่มีการลำดับเรื่องแบบปิรามิดหัวกลับและอีกกลุ่มหนึ่งอ่านข่าวที่เขียนแบบเล่าเรื่อง ส่วนเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยนั้น เลือกมา จากข่าวอาชญากรรมและข่าววิทยาศาสตร์ ที่เคยเสนอในหนังสือพิมพ์รายวันมาแล้ว และนำมาเขียนขึ้นใหม่ ให้ตรงกับลักษณะของการเขียนข่าวที่ต้องการศึกษา จากนั้น จึงพิมพ์ขึ้นใหม่แล้วนำมาเสนอรวมกับข่าวอื่น ๆ ให้เหมือนที่เสนอในหนังสือพิมพ์จริง หลังจากที่กลุ่มตัวอย่างอ่านข่าวทดลองเสร็จแล้ว ผู้วิจัยจะบันทึกว่ากลุ่มตัวอย่างสามารถเข้าใจและระลึกเนื้อหาข่าวที่เขียนแต่ละแบบได้มากน้อยเพียงใด และให้ประเมินเจตคติ ได้แก่ ความน่าสนใจ ความน่าเชื่อถือ และการรับ่รู้ความสำคัญของข่าวที่ได้อ่าน ผลจากการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ข่าวที่เขียนด้วยภาษามาตรฐานทำให้ผู้อ่านที่มีการศึกษาสูงและต่ำสามารถเข้าใจและระลึก เนื้อหาข่าวได้มากกว่าที่เขียนด้วยภาษาข่าว และผู้อ่านจะให้ความสนใจ เชื่อถือ และรับรู้ความสำคัญของข่าว ที่เขียนด้วยภาษามาตรฐานมากกว่า 2 ข่าวที่เขียนแบบเล่าเรื่องทำให้ผู้อ่านที่มีการศึกษาสูงและต่ำเข้าใจ ระลึก และสนใจเนื้อหาข่าวได้มากกว่าที่เขียนแบบปิรามิดหัวกลับ แต่ผู้อ่านให้ความเชื่อถือและรับรู้ความสำคัญของข่าวจากการเขียนทั้ง 2 แบบไม่แตกต่างกัน 3. ไม่พบว่ามีปฏิสัมพันธ์เกิดขึ้นระหว่างลีลาการเขียนข่าว กับระดับการศึกษาของผู้อ่าน

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

This research examines the effect of news writing style on readers' recognition and comprehension of news stories, and their evaluation of the news interest | credibility and the importance of the news events. It compares news stories written in standard Thai with those written in news language, and compares inverted pyramid with narrative news structures. Readers' educational levels are also considered. This experimental study, involving 320 subjects, consists of two parts. In the first part, subjects are divided into two groups, one read a news story written in standard Thai and the other read one written in news language. In the second part, one group read news written in the inverted pyramid style and the other group read news written in the narrative style. The researcher selected crime and science news stories from daily newspaper and rewrote them so that they contain the characteristics of the four styles and reprinted them with other news stories to imitate the real newspaper page. After the subjects finished reading their assigned news stories, their comprehension and recognition of the news stories and their evaluation of the news interest 1 credibility and the importance of the news events. Results are as follows: 1. Readers of standard Thai news stories scored better in comprehension and recognition of the news stories. They also evaluate the stories as more credible, interesting and more importance than the other group. 2. Readers of the narrative style scored better in comprehension and recognition than the inverted pyramid style group. They also found the stories more interesting than the other group. The two groups did not differ regarding their evaluation of the stories' credibility and importance. 3. There is no interaction between any writing styles and readers' educational level.
