Abstract

การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อการวิเคราะห์ลักษณะทางเนื้อหาและวิธีการนำเสนอของภาพยนตร์ไทยของผู้กำกับรุ่นใหม่ ระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2538-2540 ตามแนวคิดยุคหลังสมัยใหม่และปัจจัยเกี่ยวข้องในกระบวนการผลิตงาน เพื่อหาลักษณะเนื้อหาความหมายของตัวบทและวิธีการนำเสนอโดยใช้แนวคิดการเล่าเรื่องของภาพยนตร์ ทฤษฎีสัญญวิทยา และแนวคิดยุคหลังสมัยใหม่มาวิเคราะห์ ผลของการวิจัยมีดังต่อไปนี้ 1 ภาพยนตร์โทยของผู้กำกับรุ่นใหม่ ระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2538-2540 มีการนำแนวคิดยุคหลังสมัยใหม่มาใช้ในเนื้อหาและวิธีการนำเสนอ ในระดับการสื่อความหมายพาดพิงอย่างไม่ลึกซึ้ง เป็นการอ้างอิงหรือใช้เพื่อสื่อความหมายมากกว่าการวิพากษ์วิจารณ์สิ่งที่นำมาอ้างที่เป็นเป้าหมายของแนวคิดยุคหลังสมัยใหม่ ภาพยนตร์ไทยยังไม่ถือว่าเป็นภาพยนตร์ยุคหลังสมัยใหม่อย่างเต็มที่ แต่เป็นภาพยนตร์ที่ปรากฎแนวคิดของยุคหลังสมัยใหม่ในบางส่วนเท่านั้น 2. กระบวนการผลิตภาพยนตร์ที่นำแนวคิดยุคหลังสมัยใหม่มาใช้จะเกิดจากความคุ้นชินของผู้ผลิตรุ่นใหม่ที่มีต่อลักษณะงานสื่อสารมวลชนร่วมสมัย เช่น มิวสิควิดีโอ โฆษณา เป็นพัฒนาการที่มาจากความเปลี่ยนแปลงของเทคโนโลยีและอุดมการณ์ของผู้ผลิตโดยตรง ซึ่งกระบวนการผลิตภาพยนตร์ที่นำแนวคิดยุคหลังสมัยใหม่มาใช้นี้ยังไม่เข้าสู่หัวใจของกระบวนการผลิตตามแนวคิดยุคหลังสมัยใหม่อย่างเต็มรูปแบบ 3. ภาพยนตร์ไทยของผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์รุ่นใหม่ มีความสอดคล้องกับสภาพลังคมไทยในยุคหลังสมัยใหม่ โดยสังคมจะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการกำหนดความคิดสร้างสรรค์ของผู้ผลิต ให้เลนอรูปแบบภาพยนตร์ที่มีการรวบรวมความหมายจากสิ่งต่าง ๆ ที่มีอยู่มาใช้ เป้าหมายของรูปแบบจะเป็นไปเพื่อความสนุกในขณะชมเป็นหลัก เพราะภาพยนตร์ไทยจัดเป็นสินค้าเพื่อความบันเทิงในระดับสูง

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

This research was aimed at analysing the content and style of presentation of films by new group of directors during BE2538-2540 to find out the postmodern concepts used in the films and the way they influenced the directors production. The research was based on the qualitative approach to study text meanings and methods of presentation with the use of the concept of Film Narration, Semiology, and Postmodern concepts. The results are as follows: 1. Thai films produced by new group of directors during B.E.2538-2540 applies postmodern concepts in terms of content and style of presentation. Anyway, postmodern concepts, in general, are partially applied for the aim of reference or signification, not criticism. Thai films, thus, could not be decisively considered as postmodern ones. 2. The production following postmodern concepts might be influenced by directors' familiarity to contemporary media culture such as music videos or television commercial ads. In other words, technological and ideological changes affect their worldview. 3. New group of directors' films presents the portrayal of Thai society in Postmodern era. The society is one factor that framed their initiative and enables them to present a form of films imploding meanings. The main purpose of form is to serve the viewers enjoyment. Films then turn to be the commodity for entertainment.
