Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายประยุกต์โมเดลล็อกลิเนียร์ในการวิเคราะห์สาเหตุของอิทธิพลหลักและปฏิสัมพันธ์อันดับหนึ่งของปัจจัยที่ส่งผลทางตรง ทางอ้อมต่อระยะเวลาที่ใช้ในการศึกษาของมหาบัณฑิตทางสังคมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ตัวแปรต้นเป็นตัวแปรนามบัญญัติ มี 6 ตัวแปร คือ อายุ ลักษณะของการลาศึกษา คุณลักษณะอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษาวิทยานิพนธ์ การบริการของหน่วยงาน สมรรถภาพการทำวิทยานิพนธ์ และปัญหาการทำวิทยานิพนธ์ ตัวแปรตาม คือ ระยะเวลาที่ใช้ในการศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่างในการวิจัย ได้แก่ มหาบัณฑิตทางสังคมศาสตร์ รุ่นปีการศึกษา 2535 จำนวน 346 คน และรุ่นปีการศึกษา 2536 จำนวน 403 คน การรวบรวมข้อมูลในใช้แบบสอบถามส่งทางไปรษณีย์และการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้การแจกแจงความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าสถิติไค-สแควร์ สถิติวีกำลังสองของเครเมอร์ การวิเคราะห์ล็อกลิเนียร์ และการวิเคราะห์อิทธิพล ผลวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า ในนิสิตรุ่น 2535 ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อระยะเวลาที่ใช้ในการศึกษาอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติมาก มีเฉพาะอิทธิพลทางตรงเท่านั้น ได้แก่ อิทธิพลหลักของลักษณะการลาศึกษา และปฏิบัติสัมพันธ์อันดับหนึ่งระหว่างอายุกับการบริการของหน่วยงาน ระหว่างลักษณะการลาศึกษากับปัญหาการทำวิทยานิพนธ์ และระหว่างคุณลักษณะอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษาวิทยานิพนธ์กับปัญหาการทำวิทยานิพนธ์ ส่วนนิสิตรุ่น 2536 มีทั้งทางตรง ทางอ้อม ได้แก่ อิทธิพลหลักของลักษณะการลาศึกษา คุณลักษณะอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษาวิทยานิพนธ์และการบริการของหน่วยงาน และปฏิสัมพันธ์อันดับหนึ่งระหว่างการบริการของหน่วยงานกับปัญหาการทำวิทยานิพนธ์ ระหว่างอายุกับลักษณะการลาศึกษา และระหว่างอายุกับคุณลักษณะของอาจารย์กับคุณลักษณะของอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษาวิทยนิพนธ์

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The aim of this research was to apply a log-linear model to the causal analysis of the main effects and the first-order interaction effects of factors, directly and indirectly affecting study period of the master's degree graduates in social sciences, Chulalongkorn University. The 6 independent nominal variables were age, a leave of absent, adviser's characteristics, facilities, thesis competency and problems in conducting thesis. Study period, a nominal variable, was treated as a dependent variable. The research sample were two cohorts of 346 and 403 social sciences graduates in the academic years 1992 and 1993, respectively, data were collected by using mailed questionnaires, and were analyzed by frequency and percentage distribution, chi-squares, Cramer's V2, log-linear analysis and path analysis. The research results were as follows: for the 1992 cohort, there were significant direct, main effect of a leave of absent; and first-order interaction between age and facilities, between a leave of absent and problems in conducting thesis, and between adviser's characteristics and problems in conducing thesis on study period. For the 1993 cohort, there were both direct and indirect, main effects of a leave of absent, adviser's characteristics, facilities; and first-order interaction effects between facilities and problems in conducting thesis, between age and a leave of absence and between age and adviser's characteristics.
