Abstract

ศึกษาความต้องการและการใช้สารนิเทศบนอินเทอร์เน็ต ของนักวิจัยด้านไทยศึกษาในด้านวัตถุประสงค์ เนื้อหา รูปแบบ ภาษา ความถี่ สถานที่ใช้ แหล่งสารนิเทศ และประเภทของบริการ รวมทั้งปัญหาในการใช้ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นักวิจัยด้านไทยศึกษาจำนวนมากที่สุดใช้อินเทอร์เน็ต 1-3 ครั้ง/สัปดาห์ โดยใช้จากที่ทำงาน/สถาบันที่สังกัด และใช้เพื่อวัตถุประสงค์ในการสืบค้นข้อมูลจากแหล่งต่างๆ มาใช้งาน นักวิจัยจำนวนมากที่สุดใช้เนื้อหาด้านกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์/ชนชาติไท และต้องการใช้เนื้อหาด้านเมือง/สิ่งแวดล้อม รูปแบบที่นักวิจัยจำนวนมากที่สุดใช้ คือ รูปแบบบรรณานุกรม และต้องการใช้เอกสารเนื้อหาเต็ม ใช้สารนิเทศที่เป็นภาษาอังกฤษ และต้องการใช้ภาษาไทย ในด้านแหล่งสารนิเทศนักวิจัยด้านไทยศึกษาจำนวนมากที่สุด มีความต้องการและการใช้แหล่งสารนิเทศ ประเภทสถาบันการศึกษา บริการที่นักวิจัยจำนวนมากที่สุดใช้ คือ บริการไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ และบริการที่ต้องการใช้ คือ เวิลด์ไวด์เว็บ ปัญหาในการใช้สารนิเทศบนอินเทอร์เน็ตที่นักวิจัยส่วนใหญ่ประสบ ได้แก่ ไม่มีเวลาเพียงพอในการใช้ และไม่ทราบแหล่งสารนิเทศด้านไทยศึกษาบนอินเทอร์เน็ต คอมพิวเตอร์มีประสิทธิภาพต่ำ และมีจำนวนน้อยไม่เพียงพอแก่การให้บริการ ใช้เวลานานในการค้นหาข้อมูล และแหล่งสารนิเทศด้านไทยศึกษา ไม่มีการประชาสัมพันธ์เผยแพร่ให้เป็นที่รู้จัก

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

To study the information needs and uses on the Internet by Thai studies researchers, in terms of purposes, subject content, format, language, frequency of use, location of use, information sources and service on the Internet as well as problems encountered. Research findings reveal that most reseachers use Internet 1-3 times a week from their offices/institutions for searching information from various sources. They use ethnic groups/Tai subject, while need city/environment subject. Format that researchers use is bibliography, while full text is needed. They mostly use information in english but information in Thai are needed. Most researchers need and use education organization information sources. They mostly use electronic mail service and need World Wide Web (WWW) service. The problems that the majority of researchers encounter are : they have not enough times for using the Internet and do not know about Thai studies information sources on the Internet; the computers are of low qualities and there are not enough computers for servicing; it takes long time for searching; and there are not enough public relations about Thai studies information sources on the Internet.
