Abstract

อินเทอร์เน็ต ทำให้เกิดพัฒนาระบบการสื่อสารผ่านสื่อกลางคอมพิวเตอร์ที่เพิ่มโอกาสในการปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างกันของคน ซึ่งก่อให้เกิดชุมชนรูปแบบใหม่ คือ ชุมชุนเสมือน ที่เป็นการรวมกลุ่มทางความคิดโดยไม่มีข้อจำกัดด้านเวลาและสถานที่ การวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทของการสื่อสารผ่านสื่อกลางคอมพิวเตอร์ในการสร้างความสัมพันธ์แบบชุมชนเสมือน และเพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยในการสร้างความสัมพันธ์แบบชุมชนเสมือน ของผู้สูงอายุสมาชิก OPPY Club การวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็นการวิจัยคุณภาพ โดยสัมภาษณ์เจาะลึกสมาชิก OPPY Club การเข้าไปสังเกตการณ์ในสถานที่จริง และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาที่ปรากฏในเว็บไซต์เว็บบอร์ด และ E-mail โดยมีกรอบที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ คือ แนวคิดทฤษฎีบทบาทหน้าที่ของการสื่อสารผ่านสื่อกลางคอมพิวเตอร์ แนวคิดทฤษฎีเทคโนโลยีด้านสื่อใหม่ และแนวคิดเรื่องชุมชนและชุมชนเสมือน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า บทบาทของ CMC ที่มีต่อผู้สูงอายุแบ่งออกเป็น 1. บทบาทระดับบุคคล คือ การเพิ่มโอกาสใหม่ๆ ในการดำเนินชีวิต การพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิต การมีทางเลือกในการสื่อสารมากขึ้น และการเพิ่มพูนภาพลักษณ์ตนเอง และ 2. บทบาทในการสร้างชุมชน ทั้งในรูปแบบของชุมชนจริงและชุมชนเสมือน โดยเป็นสื่อกลางในการสร้างความสัมพันธ์กับคนอื่นๆ ผ่านการส่ง E-mail และการสนทนากลุ่ม ทั้งนี้ ผู้สูงอายุ CMC โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการมิตรภาพ ความต้องการการเกื้อหนุนทางสังคม และการแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ ซึ่งปฏิสัมพันธ์ที่เกิดขึ้นผ่าน CMC นี้ จะส่งผลให้เกิดสภาพทางจิตใจที่ดีของผู้สูงอายุ

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The internet is significantly contributing to the development of the computer-based communication system. It provides opportunities to people interaction by creating a new form of the communities, a so-called virtual community, that socially gathering for ideas without time and location limitations. The objectives of this research are to study the role of the computer-mediated communication (CMC) on creating the virtual community relationship and to study factors existing in the virtual community relationship of the OPPY Club members. The research is using a qualitative approach by in-depth interviewing the OPPY Club members, undergoing direct observation and analyzing accessible contexts on web sites, web boards and e-mails. In doing so, it applies concepts and theories i.e. the role of the computer-mediated communication, the new media technology and the community and virtual community as its analytical framework. The results indicate that roles of the CMC on older adults divided as follows; 1. role on individual level by increasing a new chance for the way of life, the development of the quality of later life, more alternative channels on communication and the improvement of self image and 2. role on community build-up in the context of community and virtual community by enhancing and developing interpersonal relationship via e-mails and bulletin boards. Accordingly, older adults use CMC on the purpose of making companionship, social support and experience exchanges. This kind of constructive interrelationship through CMC may result in a psychological well being of older adults.
