Abstract

ระเบียบวิธีวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลสถิติอย่างถูกต้องนั้นทีอยู่มากมายหลายวิธีด้วยกันแต่ส่วนใหญ่เป็นวิธีค่อนข้างยุ่งยากและสับสน และนำไปใช้ให้เกิดผลได้ยากหากมิใช่นักสถิติ อย่างไรก็ดีในปัจจุบันนี้มีวิธีวิเคราะหืข้อมูลสถิติอย่างเร็วหลายวิธีที่จะนำมาใช้ได้ ซึ่งเป็นวิธีที่ง่าย ๆ แม้ว่าวิธีเหล่านี้จะไม่ได้ใช้วิธีที่ยุ่งยากและคณิตศาสตร์ที่ซับซ้อนเหมือนกับวิธีการทางสถิติส่วนใหญ่ แต่ก็ไช้ได้ผลดี วิทยานิพนธ์ได้เปรียบเทียบการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลสถิติด้วยวิธีวิเคราะห์อย่างถูกต้องและวิธีวิเคราะห์อย่างเร็วบางชนิดโดยมีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อประเมินประสิทธิภาพและขอบเขตของการวิเคราะห์อย่างเร็วบางชนิดซึ่งได้แก่: วิธีตรวจสอบความแตกต่างระหว่างข้อมูล 2 ชุด เมื่อขนาดตัวอย่างของข้อมูล 2 ชุดเท่ากันและไม่เท่ากัน, วิธีคำนวณหาขนาดตัวอย่างที่ควรจะเพิ่มขึ้นเมื่อความแตกต่างระหว่างข้อมูล 2 ชุด ชุดที่มีควมสัมพันธ์กันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญหรือไม่, วิธีพิจารณาตัดข้อมูลที่มีค่าสูงหรือต่ำผิดปกติออกจากข้อมูลที่มีอยู่ทั้งหมด และวิธีทดสอบว่าตัวแปรสองตัวสามารถนำมาสร้างแนวโน้มได้หรือไม่ ในการศึกาวิจัยนี้ได้นำข้อมูลด้านต่าง ๆ มาวิเคราะห์ ทั้งโดยวิธีวิเคราะห์อย่างถูกต้องและวิธีวิเคราะห์อย่างเร็ว แล้วนำผลที่ได้จากการวิเคราะห์ทั้งสองวิธีนี้มาเปรียบเทียบกัน จากผลที่ได้จากการวิจัยอาจสรุปได้ว่าวิธีวิเคราะห์อย่างเร็วนั้นสามารถให้ผลการทดสอบที่เชื่อถือได้ โดยใช้วิธีที่ง่ายกว่าและเร็วกว่าวิธีวิเคราะห์อย่างถูกต้อง อย่างไรก็ตามการวิเคราะห์อย่างเร็วเป็นการวิเคราะห์ที่ใช้ปริมาณการวิเคราะห์อย่างถูกต้องเท่านั้น โดยทั่วไปการวิเคราะห์อย่างเร็วมีความเชื่อถือได้พอสมควร ในกรณีที่ผู้วิเคราะหืมีเวลาจัดกัดหรือไม่ความรู้เกี่ยวกับระเบียบวิธีการทางสถิติ การวิเคราะห์อย่างเร็วจะเป็นประโยชน์มาก

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

There are many exact and complicated techniques for analysis of data, most of which might be too involved and troublesome to warrant use to the non-statistician. However, several quick and simple methods for analyzing data are currently available and even though they lack the sophistication and mathematical complexity characteristic of most statistical techniques, they do work. This thesis presents the comparison of the exact and some rapid statistical analysis techniques. It is the purpose of this study to evaluate the efficiency and the scope of rapid analysis techniques. Among these rapid statistical analysis techniques are: Significant difference between two sets of results, predicting the number of additional tests needed if original data does not prove to be significant, test for checking correlation, detecting the existence of trends on graphs, a method for spotting non-representative data and comparison of groups with unequal numbers. Several data had been analyzed using both exact and these rapid techniques. The comparison of the rapid and exact statistical analysis techniques were then made. From these results it can be concluded that using rapid techniques is possible to reach correct conclusions for the statistical analysis of data in a matter of simpler and quicker than exact techniques. However, these are approximation to conventional techniques. In general, the rapid statistical analysis techniques have appropriate degree of reliability. In case of time limit or lacking knowledge of statistical method, the rapid statistical analysis techniques are yery helpful.
