Abstract

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาวิวัฒนาการ และรูปแบบการตั้งถิ่นฐาน ตลอดจนปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อรูปแบบการตั้งถิ่นฐานของชุมชนย่านบางลำภู รวมทั้งเสนอแนะบทบาท และรูปแบบการตั้งถิ่นฐานที่เหมาะสมสำหรับย่านบางลำภูในอนาคต วิธีการศึกษาใช้การวิจัยเชิงประวัติศาสตร์ (Historical research) การสังเกตการณ์ (Observation) และสัมภาษณ์ (Interview) แบบวิธีสืบประวัติ (Oral History) ขอบเขตพื้นที่ศึกษา คือ แขวงชนะสงคราม และแขวงตลาดยอด เขตพระนคร จากการศึกษาวิวัฒนาการของการตั้งถิ่นฐาน และปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงการตั้งถิ่นฐานบริเวณย่านบางลำภู พบว่าเดิมลักษณะของชุมชนมีความผูกพันและเกี่ยวข้องกับแม่น้ำลำคลอง ทั้งในเรื่องของการตั้งถิ่นฐาน การอุปโภคบริโภค ตลอดจนการเดินทาง ซึ่งแสดงถึงวิถีชีวิตที่เรียบง่าย และเป็นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะท้องถิ่น ต่อมาพื้นที่ได้รับอิทธิพลต่างๆ จากการพัฒนา เช่น การคมนาคม ซึ่งส่งผลต่อลักษณะการใช้ที่ดิน รูปแบบการตั้งถิ่นฐาน การขยายตัวของพื้นที่ และอิทธิพลจากนโยบายและการวางแผนของภาครัฐ ซึ่งส่งผลต่อการย้ายถิ่นฐานของประชากร ระบบสาธารณูปโภค สาธารณูปการ การใช้ที่ดิน และสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกต่างๆ ผลการศึกษา พบว่า บทบาทของบางลำภูเปลี่ยนแปลงจากพื้นที่สำหรับอยู่อาศัย ที่มีตลาดเป็นศูนย์กลาง การเติบโตของเมืองมี วัง และวัดเป็นแกนนำ ในอดีต มาเป็นพื้นที่พาณิชยกรรมที่สำคัญ และแหล่งที่พักนักท่องเที่ยวในปัจจุบัน โดยปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อรูปแบบการตั้งถิ่นฐาน ได้แก่ 1) อิทธิพลจากสังคม เศรษฐกิจ และการเมือง 2) อิทธิพลจากธรรมชาติของสิ่งแวดล้อมทางกายภาพ 3) อิทธิพลจากเทคโนโลยี เช่น ระบบการขนส่ง ระบบถนน และสิ่งปลูกสร้าง 4) อิทธิพลจากอดีต เช่น ลักษณะการตั้งถิ่นฐานแต่ดั้งเดิม วัฒนธรรม ศาสนา ความเชื่อ ค่านิยม และวิถีชีวิต ข้อเสนอแนะจากการศึกษา ประกอบด้วย 1) บทบาท ที่เหมาะสมในอนาคตของบางลำภู คือ เป็นศูนย์รวมกิจกรรมของประชาชน ย่านที่พักอาศัยกิจกรรมเพื่อการท่องเที่ยว และกิจกรรมย่านการค้า 2) รูปแบบการตั้งถิ่นฐานที่เหมาะสมสำหรับชุมชนย่านบางลำภู คือ เป็นอาคารที่มีความสูงน้อยที่ยังคงเอกลักษณ์ของอาคารดั้งเดิมไว้ โดยมีมาตรการควบคุมพื้นที่ในด้านการใช้ที่ดิน รูปแบบอาคาร และความหนาแน่นของการพัฒนา

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The objective of this research are to study the evolution and development patterns of human settlements in Bang Lumpoo district, Bangkok and to suggest the suitable role and development patterns for Bang Lumpoo district in the future. The research methodology used in the study includes historical documents research, observations, and oral historical interviews. The study reveals that the development of Bang Lumpoo district in the past was closely tied to waterways. They were used to support settlements, consumptions, and transportation. This type of development evidently expressed the simple but unique way of life. The area has been continuously affected by new development. For example, transportation development has exerted impact on land-use and the expansion of built-up area while public policies and plans have accelerated population migrations and new constructions of public utilities and infrastructure. It is also found that Bang Lumpoo district has changed from residential communities centered by market places, palaces, and temples in the past to commercial area and tourist guesthouses in the present. The factors affecting settlement patterns of the area are: 1) socio-economic and political conditions; 2) nature and physical environment; 3) technology, i.e., transportation systems, roadways, and buildings; 4) history including the early settlement patterns, cultures, beliefs, tastes, and way of life. The study proposes the following recommendations: 1) Bang Lumpoo district in the future should play the roles of residential, tourism, and commercial activities centers; 2) the suitable settlement patterns of the area should be low-rise development that maintain the identity of the past with control measures for land-use, building apearances, and development densities
