Abstract

The political institution is related to the power associated with any institution in our social structure. It can be said that the political organization is an important starting point to solve many problems in the society. The purpose of this article is to analyze the structure of the political institution in Thailand. This is composed of structure, process and culture of democracy. The comparative study of the legal system, the political organization of other countries, and the consideration of the context of Thailand's structure, found that the Thai' social structure is based on: 1) a kinship structure and senior system, 2) a structure of feudal society and patronage system, and 3) the effects of capitalism and materialism social structure. These affect Thailand's political development of the three factors: the structural problems, the process problems, and the cultural democracy problems
