The Thai dental student attitude toward future professional (ทัศนคติของนิสิตทันตแพทย์ เรื่อง การประกอบวิชาชีพในอนาคต)

Abstract

Attitude of 170 Thai dental student toward their future profession had been studied. The study group comprised 70 males and 100 females from the third to the sixth year who enrolled in academic year 1979 at the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University. It was found that 62.89% of students who had Bangkok originality preferred to work in Bangkok. But only 45.83% of students who had provincial originality preferred to work in provinces. Some student s opinion showed that if there are some strong incentive provided to them they are going to work upcountry 67.65%. Also 71.18% agreed with a one-year compulsory field work practice upcountry after their graduation. (ทัศนคติของนิสิตทันตแพทย์ เรื่องการประกอบวิชาชีพในอนาคต ของนิสิต ทันตแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 3 ถึง 6 ปีการศึกษา 2522 ของคณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย จํานวน 170 คน เป็นชาย 70 คน หญิง 100 คน พบว่า ผู้ที่มีลําเนาเดิมอยู่ในกรุงเทพมหานคร มีแนวโน้มที่จะประกอบวิชาชีพในอนาคตในกรุงเทพมหานคร ร้อยละ 62.89 ส่วนผู้ที่มีภูมิลําเนาเดิมในต่างจังหวัด มีแนวโน้มที่จะประกอบวิชาชีพในอนาคตในต่างจังหวัด ร้อยละ 45.83 และนิสิตได้แสดงความคิดเห็นเรื่องสิทธิพิเศษบางประการว่า ถ้าได้รับสิทธิพิเศษดังกล่าว จะมีแนวโน้ม ร้อยละ 67.65 ที่จะออกไปประกอบวิชาชีพในต่างจังหวัด และแสดงความเห็นร้อยละ 71.18 ว่าควรมีการบังคับให้นิสิตออกปฏิบัติงานในหน่วยงานทันตกรรมในต่างจังหวัดเมื่อจบการศึกษาแล้วเป็นระยะเวลา 1 ปี)
