Abstract
Polycythemia vera (PV) is a myeloproliferative disease characterized by proliferation of all three of the major hematopoietic groups, erythroid elements, granulocytic and megakaryocytic cells. The patients are at risk for thrombosis. Some requires oral anticoagulant therapy. Dental treatment in these patients requires careful preoperative assessment and treatment planning. Excellent communication and coordination of therapies by the hematologist and dentist prevent complication. A case report of patient with PV without major complication.
