Abstract

An overdenture is one of many ways for dental treatment. An overdenture may be defined as a complete or removable partial denture constructed over retained teeth and the residual ridge. This article will collect information about indications, advantages and disadvantages, abutment selection, abutment preparation, key to success and one case report for the overdenture treatment.(ฟันปลอมชนิดคลุมฟันธรรมชาติเป็นหนึ่งในหลายทางเลือกสําหรับการรักษาทางทันตกรรม ฟันปลอมนี้ถูกจัดแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ ฟันปลอมทั้งปากชนิดที่คลุมทับบนฟันธรรมชาติ และฟันปลอมบางส่วนชนิดถอดได้ที่คลุมทับบนฟันธรรมชาติ บทความนี้ได้รวบรวมข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการพิจารณาเลือกผู้ป่วย ข้อดีและข้อเสียในการนํามาใช้งาน ตลอดจนการเลือกและเตรียมฟันหลัก การดูแลรักษาเพื่อให้การทําฟันปลอมประสบผลสําเร็จ รายงานนี้ จะกล่าวถึง บทความปริทัศน์ของฟันปลอมดังกล่าวพร้อมทั้งเสนอรายงานผู้ป่วย 1 รายที่ได้รับการรักษาด้วยฟันปลอมชนิดคลุมทับรากฟันธรรมชาติด้วย)
