Abstract

At present the computer is becoming increasingly more common place in the practice of health care. We find desktop computers in many health care facilities, meanwhile, we see the number of dental information systems growing. In the last decade years the health care field has begun to realize the potential benefits of computerization that business and industry were the first to discover. Unfortunately, dental care professionals have not often had the training to use computers effectively or to decide on how computers might aid them. The purpose of this article is to exemplify one of the computer programs managing in dental report. This program was applied by making use of the commands from dBASE III plus and FoxBASE+ Version 2.10. With the simple commands and uncomplicated structures of the program, this program seems easy not only for the new users but for the training programers as well. (ปัจจุบันนี้ ได้มีการใช้คอมพิวเตอร์กันอย่างแพร่หลายในงานด้านสาธารณสุข เราสามารถพบเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ในสถานบริการสาธารณสุขหลายแห่งโดยทั่วไป และในขณะเดียวกันเราก็พบว่า ปริมาณและความสําคัญของข้อมูลข่าวสารงานด้านทันตสาธารณสุขกําลังเพิ่มพูนขึ้นเช่นกัน ในช่วงทศวรรษที่ผ่านมานี้หน่วยงานภาคสาธารณสุขได้ เริ่มที่จะตระหนักถึงประโยชน์ของการใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ภาคธุรกิจและภาคอุตสาหกรรม ได้ทราบมาก่อนแล้วแต่น่าเสียดายที่วิชาชีพทางด้านทันตสาธารณสุข ไม่ค่อยได้มีโอกาสฝึกฝนในการใช้คอมพิวเตอร์อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพหรือมีการตัดสินใจนําคอมพิวเตอร์มาช่วยงานของตน จุดประสงค์ของการเขียนบทความนี้ เพื่อยกตัวอย่างโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์โปรแกรมหนึ่งที่ใช้ในการบริหารจัดการข้อมูลในรายงานทันตสาธารณสุข โปรแกรมนี้ถูกประยุกต์ขึ้น โดยใช้คําสั่งจาก ดีเบสทรีพลัส และ ฟ็อกซ์เบส เวอร์ชั่น 2.10 ด้วยการใช้คําสั่งแบบง่าย ๆ และโครงสร้างโปรแกรม ที่ไม่ซับซ้อนทําให้โปรแกรมนี้ง่ายต่อการทําความเข้าใจ ไม่เฉพาะสําหรับผู้ที่เริ่มใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ใหม่ ๆ แต่ยังง่าย สําหรับผู้ที่กําลังฝึกหัดการเขียนโปรแกรมอยู่ด้วยเช่นกัน)
