Abstract

Forty OLP patients were studied and divided into two groups: twenty of the first group was treated with topical fluocinolone acetonide orabase 0.1% prepared by the Faculty of Dentistry Chulalongkorn University - FAO (I). The other twenty of second group was treated with the same drug prepared by the Government Pharmaceutical Organisation of Thailand - FAO (II). The number of female patients was greater than that of males in both groups. Mean age of both groups was 50 years. The site of lesions were most commonly found at the buccal mucosa followed by gingiva, mucobuccal fold, tongue, palate and lips respectively. During four weeks of treatment the lesions could be cured with no statistically significant difference between the two groups (p>0.05). This study showed that FAO (II) could be effectively treated patients with oral lichen planus without any clinical side-effects. (จากการศึกษาผู้ป่วย 40 ราย ที่เป็นไลเคน พลานัส ในช่องปาก โดยแบ่งออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม กลุ่มแรกได้รับการรักษาด้วยยาทาเฉพาะที่ชนิดฟลูโอซิโนโลน อเซทโทไนด์ ออราเบส 0.1% ที่เตรียมขึ้นโดย คณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย FAO (I) ส่วนอีกกลุ่มได้รับยาชนิดเดียวกันเตรียมขึ้นโดยองค์การเภสัชกรรม แห่งประเทศไทย FAO (II) กลุ่มละ 20 ราย เท่ากัน พบว่าทั้งสองกลุ่มผู้ป่วยเป็นเพศหญิงมากกว่าเพศชาย อายุเฉลี่ยของผู้ป่วยทั้งสองกลุ่มประมาณ 50 ปี ตําแหน่งรอยโรคที่พบมากที่สุดคือบริเวณกระพุ้งแก้ม รองลงมาคือเหงือกรอยต่อระหว่างกระพุ้งแก้มกับเหงือก ลิ้น เพดานปาก และริมฝีปากตามลําดับ ส่วนการรักษาผู้ป่วยทั้งสองกลุ่มใน ระยะเวลา 2 สัปดาห์ และ 4 สัปดาห์ พบว่าจํานวนรอยโรคไลเคน พลานัสที่หายทั้งสองกลุ่ม ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติ (P> 0.05) การศึกษาในครั้งนี้แสดงว่า ยาที่ผลิตในเชิงอุตสาหกรรมขององค์การเภสัชกรรมแห่งประเทศไทยสามารถนํามาใช้รักษาผู้ป่วย ไลเคนพลานัส ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยไม่พบผลข้างเคียงทางคลินิก)
