Abstract

Twelve fluoride mouthwash formulas with different preservatives were tested for their stability after the addition of flavoring agents; the green solution was colored with brilliant blue/tartarzine (1 : 4) and flavored with mixture of peppermint/menthol (1 cc : 0.5 g), the pink solution was colored with allura red and flavored with mixture of anise/cinnamon (3 cc: 1 cc), the yellow solution was colored with tartarzine and flavored with mixture of anise/ cinnamon/menthol (1 cc : 1 cc: 0.5 g). Concentration of the color and the mixture of essential oils in all solution were 0.001 g/100 ml and 0.15 ml/100 ml, respectively, These amount of colors and essential oils did not change the stability of all mouthwash formulas. Comparative stability study of these formulas with Reach® and Listermint with fluoride showed that the quality of all products were the same.(การทดสอบความคงสภาพของตํารับยาอมบ้วนปากฟลูออไรด์ 12 สูตร ที่มีสารกันบูดแตกต่างกันเมื่อนํามาปรุงแต่งให้มีสีและกลิ่นดังนี้ ; น้ำยาอมบ้วนปากสีเขียวซึ่งแต่งสีด้วย บิลเลี่ยน บลู/ทาร์ทราซีน (1 : 4) และแต่งกลิ่นด้วยส่วนผสมของเปปเปอร์มินท์ เมนทอล (1 ซีซี. : 0.5 กรัม) น้ำยาอมบ้วนปากสีชมพูซึ่งแต่งสีด้วยอัลลูราเรดและแต่งกลิ่นด้วยส่วนผสมของเอไนล์/ซินนามอน (3 ซีซี. : 1 ซีซี.) น้ำยาอมบ้วนปากสีเหลือง ซึ่งแต่งสีด้วยทาร์ทราซีนและแต่งกลิ่นด้วยส่วนผสมของเอไนส์/ซินนามอน/เมนทอล (1 ซีซี. : 1 ซีซี. : 0.5 กรัม) โดยความเข้มข้น ของสีและน้ำมันหอมระเหยที่ใช้แต่งกลิ่นในน้ำยาอมบ้วนปากเหล่านี้เท่ากับ 0.001 กรัม/100 ซีซี. และ 0.15 ซีซี. 100 ซีซี. ตามลําดับ ผลของการทดสอบพบว่าชนิดและปริมาณความเข้มข้นของสารปรุงแต่งที่ใช้นี้ไม่ทําให้ความ คงสภาพของตํารับยาอมบ้วนปากฟลูออไรด์ทั้ง 12 สูตรเปลี่ยนแปลง และเมื่อนําผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ปรุงแต่งเหล่านี้ไปศึกษา เปรียบเทียบความคงสภาพกับผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีจําหน่ายในท้องตลาดพบว่าผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ปรุงแต่งขึ้นนี้มีคุณภาพดีพอ ๆ กับริช และลิสเตอร์มินท์ที่ผสมฟลูออไรด์)
