Abstract
Precision attachment was early used in 1841. It has had a good advantage in esthetic because of no clasp arm showed, directed distribution of force to long axis and good to resist lateral force. So it has many good properties to concern. Many types of precision attachment had designed to combine with removable partial denture for restoring all remaining teeth. But it can be classified by manufacture, relation to abutment or functional movement. In this article type of precision attachment will be classified by relation to abutment.(พรีซิชันแอตแทชเมนต์เริ่มนํามาใช้ในปี ค.ศ. 1841 โดยมีข้อดีในเรื่องของความสวยงาม เพราะไม่ปรากฏให้เห็นแขนตะขอ รวมทั้งมีการกระจายแรงไปตามแนวแกนฟัน และต้านแรงด้านข้างได้ดี มีการออกแบบพรีซิชันแอตแทชเมนต์ที่ใช้ร่วมกับฟันปลอมบางส่วนชนิดถอดได้หลายชนิด เพื่อให้เหมาะกับฟันที่เหลือในสภาวะต่าง ๆ กัน ซึ่งสามารถจําแนกชนิดของตัวยึดได้หลายวิธีด้วยกัน เช่นจําแนกตามการผลิต ตามความสัมพันธ์กับฟันหลัก หรือตามการเคลื่อนที่ขณะใช้งาน บทความนี้จําแนกชนิดของพรีซิชันแอตแทชเมนต์ ตามความสัมพันธ์กับฟันหลัก อนึ่งพรีซิชันแอตแทชเมนต์เป็นตัวยึดที่มีคุณสมบัติน่าสนใจชนิดหนึ่ง ถึงแม้ว่าในขณะนี้การใช้อาจจะยังไม่แพร่หลายในประเทศไทย)
