Abstract
A questionnaire was developed to elucidate the factors that affect broken appointment among dental utilizers at the extramural clinic of Chulalongkorn Dental School. A Sample of 144 dental utilizers who had history of broken appointment was administered. Of the respondents 76.1% were single, 39.58% were government employees, 78% had imcome less than 10,000 baht. The reasons for broken appointment were as follows: 51.4% reported that they had other business appointments, 46.5% broke appointment because of traffic problem, 22.9% forgot the appointment. The correlation between age and having other business appointment, income and interval between appointment, money problem and quantity of treatment were highly significant (p<0.01).(จากแบบสอบถามซึ่งจัดทําขึ้นเพื่อการศึกษาปัจจัยที่ทําให้ผู้ใช้บริการทันตกรรมที่คลินิกนอกเวลาของคณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ผิดนัด พบว่า 76.1% เป็นคนโสด 39.5% มีอาชีพรับราชการ 78% มีรายได้ไม่เกิน 10,000 บาท ปัจจัยที่ทําให้ต้องผิดนัด ได้แก่ติดธุระอื่นที่จําเป็นกว่า 51.4% ปัญหาจราจรติดขัด 46.50% ช่วงการนัดห่างกันนานเกินไป 25% ลืมการนัดหมาย 22% การวิเคราะห์สหสัมพันธ์พบว่า อายุกับเหตุผลติดธุระอื่นที่จําเป็น รายได้กับช่วงการนัดหมายที่ห่างนานเกินไป ปัญหาการเงินกับระยะเวลาที่ใช้การรักษามีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติ (P < .01))
