Abstract

Fifty OLP patients were studied and divided into two groups: the first group was E-LP and the other group was Non E-LP. By clinical examination and biopsy to confirm the diagnosis, the number of female patients was greater than that of males in both groups. Age range was from 40-60 years and duration of disease varied from 4-168 months. The lesions were most commonly found at the buccal mucosa, gingiva, tongue, lips palate and floor of mouth respectively. The comparison of relationship between OLP and various factors such as systemic diseases, allergy, drugs, filling materials, crowns and partial dentures had been investigated. This study showed that there were no statistically significant difference in the relationship between these factors and both groups of OLP (P> 0.05).(ศึกษาผู้ป่วย OLP จํานวน 50 ราย โดยแบ่งออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มอีโรซีฟ และกลุ่ม ไม่อีโรซีฟ จากการตรวจทางคลินิก และการตรวจชิ้นเนื้อเพื่อยืนยันการวินิจฉัยโรค พบว่าผู้ป่วยส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิงมากกว่าเพศชาย ช่วงอายุที่พบบ่อยประมาณ 40-60 ปี ระยะเวลาของการเกิดโรคมีตั้งแต่ 4-168 เดือน บริเวณที่พบรอยโรคในช่องปากมากที่สุดคือ กระพุ้งแก้ม รองลงมาคือ เหงือก ลิ้น ริมฝีปาก เพดานปาก และพื้นช่องปาก ตามลําดับจากการเปรียบเทียบกลุ่มผู้ป่วยทั้ง 2 กลุ่ม พบว่ากลุ่มอีโรซีฟ และไม่อีโรซีฟ ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันในเรื่องของเพศจํานวนผู้ป่วย ตําแหน่งที่พบ ระยะเวลาของการเกิดโรค นอกจากนี้ยังได้ทําการเปรียบเทียบความสัมพันธ์ของปัจจัย ต่าง ๆ ที่อาจก่อให้เกิดโรคไลเคนพลานัส เช่น โรคของระบบ การแพ้ การใช้ยา วัสดุอุดฟัน ครอบฟัน และฟันปลอมชนิดถอดได้ พบว่าทั้งหมดนี้ไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับการเกิดโรคไลเคนพลานัส ในช่องปากทั้งสองชนิดอย่างมีนัยสําคัญ ทางสถิติ (P>0.05))
