Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the scholastic achievement scores of the second year dental students in dental anatomy with and without Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) program 85 (from 93) second year dental students in the academic year 1992 at the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University volunteered to participate in this study. The study was composed of 2 experiments. The first experiment, 27 pairs of students who had similar GPAX were recruited. The experimental group was instructed to use CAI program in dental anatomy after the regular lecture class, whereas the control group received only the lecture. The scholastic achievement score of the experimental group was then compared with those of the control group. The second experiment was performed on 51 students in order to test whether or not the dental anatomy's scores of the students after using the CAI program is significantly higher than those of the before using the CAI program. After the examination, the scholastic achievement scores were collected and calculated in term of means and standard deviations. The differences between the two means were tested with student t-test. The result indicated that in the experiment 1: the mean scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group (p < 0.001). In the experiment 2: the mean scores of the post-test were significantly higher than those of the pre-test (p < 0.001).(การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะเปรียบเทียบสัมฤทธิ์ผลของการเรียนวิชาทันตกายวิภาคศาสตร์ของนิสิตทันตแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 2 ที่ได้รับและไม่ได้รับการเสริมด้วยโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ช่วยสอนวิชาทันตกายวิภาคศาสตร์ นิสิตอาสาสมัครที่เข้าร่วมในโครงการนี้ เป็นนิสิตคณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยชั้นปีที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2535 จํานวน 85 คน ซึ่งการศึกษาวิจัยนี้ประกอบด้วย 2 หัวข้อวิจัย งานวิจัยแรกเป็นการเปรียบเทียบคะแนนการทดสอบระหว่างกลุ่มทดลองที่ได้รับการเสริมด้วยโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ช่วยสอนฯ กับกลุ่มควบคุมที่ไม่ได้รับการสอนเสริม ศึกษาในนิสิตที่มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยสะสมใกล้เคียงกัน จํานวน 27 คู่ ส่วนงานวิจัยที่ 2 เป็นการประเมินความก้าวหน้าและความเข้าใจในบทเรียนของนิสิตก่อนและหลังการเสริมด้วยบทเรียนคอมพิวเตอร์ ช่วยสอนฯ โดยมีนิสิตเข้าร่วมโครงการ 51 คน ภายหลังจากรวบรวมคะแนนสอบมาหาค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิต ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และนํามาทดสอบความแตกต่างของค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตโดยใช้การทดสอบค่าเฉลี่ยพบว่า งานวิจัยที่ 1 คะแนนของกลุ่มทดลองสูงกว่าคะแนนของกลุ่มควบคุมอย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติที่ .001 และงานวิจัย ที่ 2 พบว่าคะแนนภายหลังได้รับการเสริมด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์ช่วยสอนฯ สูงกว่าก่อนได้รับการเสริมอย่างมีนัยสําคัญ ทางสถิติที่ .001)
