Abstract

Palateless denture is a kind of maxillary complete denture which the palatal part is removed. This type of denture is constructed for the patient who cannot wear conventional complete denture. Particularly, the patient who has large torus palatinus and is surgical contraindicated. The purpose of this article is to describe the palateless denture construction technique for torus patients.(ฟันปลอมไร้เพดานเป็นชนิดหนึ่งของฟันปลอมทั้งปากบนที่ทําการดัดแปลงโดยตัดส่วนเพดานของฐาน ฟันปลอมออก ฟันปลอมชนิดนี้จะพิจารณาสร้างให้แก่ผู้ป่วยที่ไม่สามารถใส่ฟันปลอมทั้งปากแบบปกติได้ โดยเฉพาะในรายที่มีปุ่มกระดูกกลางเพดานขนาดใหญ่ และไม่สามารถทําการผ่าตัด บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่ออธิบาย ถึงวิธีการสร้างฟันปลอมไร้เพดานสําหรับผู้ป่วยที่มีปุ่มกระดูกกลางเพดาน)
